Ex.Adviser to HE Minister of MWRI for Cabinet affairs

Dr.Attia is a civil Engineer, graduated from Cairo University in 1965, received M.Sc. degree in 1978 (Operation of long term storage reservoirs with application on High Aswan Dam), and Ph.D. in 1984(Water resources systems).He spent 4 semesters at MIT University ( Boston – USA), during  preparation  of HIS Ph.D.

Dr. Attia has over 40 years of extensive professional experience. His experience represents a combination of high advisory level on the government policy issues related to important aspects and phases of water resources planning investigation as well as wide expertise in consultancy service concerned with natural resources management, climate change and environmental aspects, decision support systems and knowledge management, development strategies and sustainable development.

 Dr.Attia had a major contribution in preparing “Egypt’s Water Master Plan’’ issued in 1981 and updated in 1985 (35 technical reports). Dr. Attia has managed various complex water resources projects and studies with critical sensitive public and environmental issues. He was aiming at ensuring long term impact of projects and he succeeded in maintaining active liaison with various governmental and non-governmental organizations having water related interests. He has excellent experience in dealing with high governmental officials, donor agencies as well as non-governmental organizations.

Since 2001,Dr attia is serving as the President of Resources Technology Bureau& Engineering Consultancy ( RTB ). The Bureau  is an Egyptian company based in Cairo, concerned with all aspects of natural resources management and technical services.

Major Award: Received in July 15,1995 a golden medal certificate of first class of excellence from the president of Egypt.
