Assistant professor in Irrigation and Hydraulics Department at Ain Shams University
Dr. Ezzat Elalfy is currently an Assistant professor in Irrigation and Hydraulics Department at Ain Shams University. He earned his PhD in Numerical and Experimental modeling in dam and levee breach in 2015 from University of South Carolina, Columbia, USA. He earned his MSc in water resources management using remote sensing in 2008 from Ain Shams University in which he got his BSc in Water and Hydraulic Structures in 2004.
Dr. Elalfy’s area of specialization is water resources engineering with emphasis on numerical and physical modeling of steady and unsteady flows in closed conduits and open-channel. His research interests include flood flows in rivers and channels, on levee breach, dam failure. Recently, Dr. Elalfy is engaged in multi-national research projects in Egypt include non-conventional Water Resources such as River Bank Filtration, and Water Desalination. He has numerous publications in a high rank peer reviewed journals.
