Deputy Director of Environment and Climate changes Research Institute (ECRI)
Dr. Mahmoud Roushdi is the Deputy Director of Environment and Climate changes Research Institute (ECRI), National Water Research Center (NWRC), Egypt. His position involves various responsibilities, however the main focus of it, is the participation in preparing strategic water studies concerning the anticipated impacts of climate change on water resources as a very important component for the planning of the Egyptian water resources.
Dr. Roushdi has high experience in the fields of water and wastewater treatment. He participated in different international projects in the fields of assessing the impacts of climate change on the environment, water resources and agriculture sectors, in addition to propose suitable adaptation measures and strategies to cope with these impacts.
One of the more interesting fields for Dr. Roushdi is environmental studies including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).
Dr. Roushdi has participated in different EU-funded projects, in addition to several national and regional projects.
Furthermore, he has about 20 published research papers in different international journals and conferences.
