26–27 October 2026
Under the main theme:
“Water in the Arab Region: Partnerships for Peace and Sustainable Development”
The conference will take place alongside the 9th Cairo Water Week
Cairo, Egypt

Background

Egypt will host the seventh edition of the Arab Water Conference from 26 to 27 October 2026, on the sidelines of the ninth edition of Cairo Water Week. The conference serves as an important Arab platform for discussing shared water issues, supporting Arab cooperation in addressing water scarcity and climate change challenges, and promoting the sustainable management of water resources.
This year’s conference builds on the Arab Water Conference’s established role as a leading regional platform for raising awareness of water-related challenges in the Arab region and advancing innovative solutions. Previous editions have helped strengthen policy dialogue, knowledge exchange, and regional cooperation, thereby supporting efforts to achieve Arab water security.
The conference will address a range of priority topics, including improving water use and management, governance of shared water resources, innovative financing, the use of non-conventional water resources, and smart technologies in water management, all of which contribute to enhanced Arab water security.
It also provides an excellent opportunity for researchers to present extended abstracts and scientific papers in the field of water.
