“Save Our Water” Campaign Competition

As water challenges continue to grow, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation invites media students to participate in this competition, which will take place on the sidelines of Cairo Water Week 2026. Building on the success of last year’s “Save Our Water” campaign, this initiative calls on you to create impactful content that raises awareness of water issues. Use your creativity to tell stories that inspire responsible water use and contribute to a more secure and sustainable future.
Deliverables:
A complete media campaign (Video + Poster + Radio Spot).
Who Can Apply?
- Students and postgraduates of mass communication faculties (public and private), media
institutes, and departments of media and marketing across various colleges. (must be currently enrolled) - Individual or team participation (maximum 5 students per team).
Competition Requirements:
- Submission of a complete campaign (Video – Poster – Radio Spot). Incomplete submissions will be disqualified.
- The campaign must address water issues creatively and comprehensively, beyond drinking water and sanitation, covering topics such as: irrigation & food security, water footprint, water use efficiency, groundwater, and climate change
Video Submission Guidelines
- Maximum 60 seconds, HD quality, horizontal format, free from copyrights, watermarks, or editing software logos.
- All formats allowed (documentary – narrative – motion graphics – song) with clear messaging and accurate information.
- Must include the “Save Our Water” logo and slogan, with a relevant title.
Poster Guidelines
- Size: 2048×2048 or 1800×1800.
- Resolution: 150 or 300 pixels.
- Color mode: RGB.
Radio Spot Guidelines:
- Maximum 30 seconds, any format (song or narration).
- Original work with royalty-free music only.
- Must include the “Save Our Water” slogan.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Strength of idea and clarity of message.
- Creativity and content accuracy.
- Quality of production (audio & visuals).
- Compliance with time limits.
